Nia Abigail McNeal is a junior, Computer Science major. Proudly, Nia is a fifth-generation Prairie View legacy from Sugar Land, Texas.

Throughout her time at Prairie View A&M University, Nia has been an exceptional student in the classroom and around the Prairie View campus and community. Nia has been acknowledged as an Honor Roll student for the past two years, she is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, and a student of the University’s Honors Program. In 2023, she was selected to be a new member of the Classic Dance Ensemble.

In addition to her studies, Nia has dedicated her time and talents to the campus. She has proudly served in organizations such as BELLES of Prairie View, the National Society of Black Engineers, and Women in Stem. She is also the founder of the organization, the BEAUX of Prairie View.

As Miss Prairie View A&M University 2023-2024, Nia’s mission is to assist the student body in using their voice and nurturing their confidence, understanding that the past happened for a reason but not granting it access to affect the future. She plans to use her platform, I’mPossible: Nurturing and Navigating through Owning your Individuality, to inspire students to find the courage to grant change, better our community, and authentically love their selves. In this significant role, Nia is motivated to exemplify our university and the Prairie View A&M Woman in the highest regard.

After graduation, Nia plans to attend law school to become a lawyer to expand her knowledge in cybersecurity and study cyber laws.
