The Engineering Scholars Program is a newly funded grant to the College of Engineering from the National Science Foundation's Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S-STEM) Program that provides financial, academic, and professional development support to undergraduate students in engineering, computer science, or technology.

Selected students will receive scholarships up to $5,000 per academic year based on financial need.  Selected students will also participate in program activities designed to increase their academic performance and career preparation. Scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years based on financial need, academic performance and progress, and student participation.

The goal of the program is to increase minority student graduation rates in STEM  fields and to increase student preparedness for diverse career paths. Program activities are designed to be flexible to allow students to participate without affecting their academic studies or progress.

The second cohort of Engineering Scholars will be selected during the Spring 2018 semester. Scholarship application is available and due by February 16th, 2018.

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for more information about the Engineering Scholars program. See the program application (if open) to apply to participate.
