In response to the death of Alumnae Sandra Bland during the summer of 2015, Prairie View A&M University’s SGA held a march to the Waller County Courthouse along with the city of Prairie View to demand justice for our fallen Panther. SGA President Jacolahn Dudley and SGA Vice President Marcus Washington were among many other civil leaders to lead the march.

Prairie View also held a candlelight vigil around the in honor of Sandra Bland. SGA’s presence was felt, once again, through President Dudley and many other PVAMU students.

We, as SGA, will continue to be vigilant in our search for justice for Sandra Bland.
