The 2016 Homecoming Coronation Ball: Celebrating with Purple Royalty is Wednesday, October 05, 2016 at 7:30 PM in the Student Memorial Center Ballroom located in the Willie A. Tempton, Sr. Memorial Student Center. Please arrive upstairs no later than 6:45 PM Wednesday.
Homecoming Coronation Ball Rehearsal
The Dress Rehearsal for the Homecoming Coronation Ball is Tuesday, October 04, 2016 at 7:30 PM in the Memorial Student Center Ballroom. Please be prompt and prepared to stay approximately two hours.
Queens are to wear FULL-LENGTH, formal gowns, no “Tea” length gowns. Do not wear purple, champagne, gold, white, or ivory. Any young lady wearing these colors will be prohibited in participating in the ball. Please bring your gown Wednesday, September 28, 2016 to Memorial Student Center, RM 221 between the hours of 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM for approval. Please speak with Mrs. Valerie Gibson or Dean C.H. Lewter, IV for approval of your grown. Tiaras and/or crowns are prohibited.
Escorts may travel to Al’s Formal Wear on 7608 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston Texas…Across from Willowbrook Mall. Rain Check Tuxedo fitting will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Memorial Student Lounge from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Please bring a $50.00 deposit to the fitting. Money Orders and/or Credit Cards are accepted. Money Orders are made payable to Al’s Formal Wear. No personal check(s) are accepted. Please ask for group number 7438698. For more information, please contact Dean Charles H. Lewter, IV @ (936) 261-3591/1345 concerning tuxedo fittings, the rental cost and tuxedo delivery information. The cost of the tuxedos will not exceed $99.00-119.00 (slim fit) total, which includes tuxedo, shirt, tie, cummerbund, and shoes.
Traditionally, the participating organizations present Miss Prairie View A&M University and Mr. Prairie View A&M University with a small gift the night of the Homecoming Coronation Ball.
Please remember this is a formal attire affair. Queens and Kings are required to dress accordingly.
