As a University, our staff are committed to a successful living experience that adheres to the CDC’s recommended COVID-19 preventative measures including thorough sanitization of living spaces prior to move-in, requesting physical distancing in closed areas, strongly recommending wearing masks while in public spaces, and use of hand sanitizer when needed.

On-campus housing is available on a first-come first-served basis. Renewals are not guaranteed for the same unit/unit type as previously occupied. (Updated: 6/13/2023)
$650 Deposit: For new students, the $650 Pre-rental payment is due June 1, 2023. For returning residents, the $650 Pre-rental payment is due May 1, 2023.

While Prairie View A&M University does not have any official relationships with any off-campus property, our campus shuttle service has routes that provide student access to the City of Prairie View, Hempstead, and Waller. First Year Students – Apply to the B-Global Program
Broadening Global Learning Opportunities Building Academic Leaders (B-GLOBAL)
- B-GLOBAL is a two-year learning community that integrates curricular and co-curricular programming in an intentional way to promote the acquisition of global competence skills.
- Participants will live near other first-year students in a themed housing community and participate in the First-Year Experience activities in the University College (UC).
- The activities incorporate targeted advising services and other resources to ensure success.
