PV Banner User Group

PVBUG’s is an arm of the Student Information System Governance Council (SISGC) which is the governance council appointed by the University to represent the Banner users. Areas represented in the SISGC are Academic Affairs, Academic Technology, Research and Graduate School, Registrar’s Office, ITS, Treasury Services, Student Services, Athletics, Information Resource Management (IRM), Financial Aid, Information Security Office (ISO), Auxiliary Services, Institutional Research & Effectiveness, and the Office of Academic Engagement and Student Success. The SISGC will be responsible for sharing Banner user information with the Information Technology Governance Committee which reports to the Executive Officers Council.

PURPOSE: The Banner User’s Group (PVBUG) accepts and promotes shared responsibility for the standardization, support, and security of administrative data, systems, and processes as they relate to Banner.

MISSION:The Banner User’s Group (PVBUG) is comprised of departmental representatives appointed from each functional area that use the Banner Information System. Members of this group meet monthly in an effort to coordinate Banner upgrades, discuss any issues reported within their departments, and resolve any upcoming and existing issues in a collaborative manner.
