State and System regulations do not differentiate between Electronic Records and Paper Records. Therefore, treat Electronic Records just as any other paper records.
Like paper documents, if any electronic document is deemed as an “Official Record” then this document must be retained and disposed of according to the Retention Schedule.
There is no single retention period for E-mails. The subject and the nature of the e-mail determine how long any particular E-mail is retained.
