How do I sign up for direct deposit?

The New PVAMU Plus Card: PVAMU Plus Card

A student may receive a refund when a credit is remaining on their account after all tuition & fees, and room & board is paid for. A student may receive this refund in three ways: In their One Account, by ACH using their existing bank account or paper check(mailed to the billing address on file.

Prairie View A&M University is partnering with Higher One® a financial services company focused solely on higher education to bring  a new official Prairie View A&M University ID, and a faster method to receive your refund ­­— the PVAMU Plus CardPlease do not throw away this important card.

Please activate your card as soon as you receive it.  Although, you are currently not expecting a refund, you may use this card in the near future.

The PVAMU Plus Card is your key to quicker electronic refund options and will also serve as your official identification card which includes:

·         A same day deposit to the OneAccount, an FDIC Insured, no monthly fee, no minimum balance checking account. With the OneAccount, you receive your funds the same day they’re released by Higher One—the easiest and fastest choice available.

·         Transfer to another account.

If you are expecting a refund you must activate the PVAMU Plus Card when you receive it in the mail.   If a student does not activate the card, it will delay the processing of the refund.   Issuing of student refunds will begin Monday, June 11, 2012 for Summer I 2012


I need my work study check mailed to a different address for the summer?

Student must submit request in writing to the following email address: cashiers@pvamu.edu


My roommate will be picking up my check, what does he/she need to do that?

What are the Cashier Office hours?

W.R. Banks Bldg. Room 124

8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. CST Monday-Friday.

Beginning May 17, 2012 thru August 8, 2012, the Cashiers will be operating on the University’s summer schedule.  The hours of operation will be Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.


How do I Purchase a Panther Pass for my Son or Daughter?

  • Purchase a Panther Pass through the Cashier’s office and retrieve a receipt. The Cashier office is located in W.R. Banks Building-1st Floor at the Cashier window. You may call in the payment at 936-261-1895
  • Have your son or daughter give the receipt to the office of Auxiliary Services
  • The student’s I.D. card will be activated with the amount of the purchase
  • Purchase books and materials at the University’s Bookstore located on the 1st floor of the Memorial Student Center using student I.D. card

 I paid my application fee by phone and was given a receipt # but I lost it how can I get a copy?

Can I pay online/by phone/in-person?

Yes.

Payment by WEB:

Pay on-line at www.pvamu.edu/pvplace

To access your account, click on “Enter PVPlace Now” and enter your PV e-mail user name and password then select “enter Panthertracks here”.  Select the gold student tab and then select make a payment”.   You will then be asked to enter your username (student ID #) and Panthertracks pin to make a payment. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS AND DISCOVER. Treasury Services does accept cash, money orders, or checks at the Cashier’s Window.

W.R. Banks Bldg. Room 124 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. CST Monday thru Friday. PAYMENT DROP BOX – W.R. Banks Northeast corner (outside). Please drop payments in sufficient time to meet deadline dates/times. (Avoid Long Lines)

Summer Hour schedule

8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. CST Monday thru Thursday

8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. CST Friday

Credit Card Call-ins:

Treasury Services Office, area code (936) 261-1895 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. CST for VISA, MASTER CARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS AND DISCOVER payments.

Note: Please do not wait to receive a billing notice via e-mail to pay your bill. Your statement can be accessed on-line through PANTHERTRACKS for students at http://panthertracks.pvamu.edu/. If you register after the pre-registration period, you may not receive a billing notice via e-mail or regular mail.
