

College of Nursing Highlighted In Minority Nurse Magazine

The summer 2009 issue of Minority Nurse Magazine features Prairie View A&M University’s College of Nursing. Betty N. Adams, PhD, RN and dean of the College is also showcased in the article titled “Historically Black Nursing Schools: Yesterday and Today,” by Leigh Page.
“Back in the days when segregation was the law of the land, they opened doors of educational opportunity that produced generations of distinguished African American nurses. Today, HBCU nursing programs are building on that legacy to prepare the black nursing leaders of the 21st century…”
