ROBY W. HILLIARD SR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
PRAIRIE VIEW A&M UNIVERSITY

A $3000 scholarship for the 2012-2013 year is available for one outstanding, incoming, first-time freshman majoring in the Department of Languages and Communications. With good academic standing and continued availability of funds, the recipient can renew the award for 3 additional years for a total of $12,000.

Requirements:

Roby W. Hillard Sr. Memorial Scholarship

  1. Unconditional admission to PVAMU
  2. Minimum SAT score of 820 (math + verbal) or ACT composite of 17
  3. Minimum high school cumulative GPA of 2.5
  4. Declared major in Communications, English, or Spanish

Preference:

Graduate of Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas

Paperwork to Submit:

  1. Completed University General Scholarship Application (Linked below)
  2. Letter explaining academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and especially your financial need
  3. Unofficial copies of test scores and your high school transcript
  4. Copy of your admission letter to PVAMU

Students who do not meet ALL of the requirements listed above will not be considered by the scholarship committee.
