The Panther Patrol
The Panther Patrol are student workers that assist the University Police Department provide better security for the University Community. The Panther Patrol assists the Prairie View A&M University Police in a variety of ways. They provide a safer environment in selected areas by performing high visibility foot patrols in radio contact with the officers and police dispatcher.
The Panther Patrol is the backbone of our escort service. The members of the Panther Patrol perform most of the safety escorts for the campus. The Panther Patrol also provides simple vehicle assistance such as jump starts when a Security Officers are unavailable.
The services that the Panther Patrol provides add to the safety of the campus by providing more eyes and ears for the Police Department on Campus, by providing a safe way to get where you're going on campus, and by reducing or eliminating the time that you have to spend stranded with vehicle problems.
The Panther Patrols are paid part time employees of the Prairie View A&M University Police Department. Work Study positions are available. A wide variety of shifts are available and there is some flexibility 936-261-1390.
