University Scholars Program

The University Scholars’ Program provides an enriched academic environment for its members that encourages scholarly activities, high quality research, leadership, cultural and personal development, the pursuit of graduate or professional studies at highly competitive institutions and the process of lifelong learning.

Admission Requirements

Requirements:

• Freshman
  • High school grade point average of 3.5 or above
  • SAT composite of 1200 or ACT composite of 25
  • Evidence of leadership involvement
  • Two letters of recommendation from high school counselors or faculty
• Transfer & Continuing Students
  • College grade point average of 3.5 or above
  • Evidence of leadership involvement
  • Two letters of recommendation from college faculty

Application Procedures:

• Complete a University Scholars Program application [Student must be admitted to the University prior to being admitted to the University Scholars Program. A separate University admissions application must be completed.]
• Include your most recent high school or college transcript
• Submit two letters of recommendation from high school counselors or faculty
• Include a 500-word essay detailing an experience that made an impact on your intellectual growth
• Mail all USP application materials to the address on the application.
