Prairie View A&M University established a nuclear engineering educational and research program (Panther Pipeline Program) in 2003 within the Department of Chemical Engineering. The main objective of this program is to provide opportunities to our students in the field of nuclear engineering and radiation science. The program funded through DOE office of Nuclear Energy is supported by additional funds from DOE-NNSA, NASA, and other agencies. Established in 1876, Prairie View A&M University is one of the leading HBCU institutions with an ABET accredited engineering department. The nuclear program is housed in the Department of Chemical Engineering; however, it is open to all engineering and science majors.
