Physics forms the foundation for a host of other disciplines. The Physics Department at Prairie View A&M University provides an excellent learning environment and opportunities for your child to pursue science and non-science related careers. The university offers a modern campus environment – excellent residence halls, recreational facilities, clean and safe surroundings, and a wealth of programs to choose from. Extensive tutorial and other help sessions are provided. The University College, one of its kind among the HBCUs, and one of a few among all the universities in the country, is a twelve building facility with resident counselors and advisors, and provides an atmosphere that is truly conducive to learning and growth. Student centeredness is the central theme throughout the university and the Physics Department. We believe in direct faculty-student interaction so you have a direct exposure to years of experience.
