Register your vehicle online

All visitors, students (commuter and residential), staff, faculty, vendors and contractors must have a valid parking permit while parked on the PVAMU campus. Visitors will need to locate a designated Visitor Space and pay via ParkMobile. Vendors and contractors must stop by the Information Center to obtain a vendor/contractor pass.

Register your vehicle here using the Prairie View A&M Students and Faculty/Staff login link. *Once you have completed the online registration process and your vehicle is registered, you will be assigned a virtual permit which will be recognized by your vehicle license plate. You will no longer have to stop by the Parking Management Office to pick up a permit.

A permit holder is allowed up to five vehicles on one permit, but only authorized one vehicle on campus at any time.

Resident Students (Green Permitted Lots)

Resident parking is designed to help residents park closer to their dorm. These zones are controlled by a wait-list to ensure resident permit holders have a space at all times. *Residential Zones are enforced 24/7 for the safety of residents and do not allow Commuter/Faculty/Staff/Visitors access at any time, even if the gates are open or the lot is ungated. Overflow parking for resident permits will be in Lot 95.

Commuter (Orange Permitted Zones)

*Commuter students are eligible to purchase commuter permits, but now a specific lot must be selected as individual lots are sold to capacity and will no longer have the ability to park in multiple lots. Overflow parking will be Lots 95 and 96 near the Hobart Taylor Building.

Commuter students include any enrolled student who does not reside within university managed housing.

Evening commuter students must purchase a commuter permit.

Faculty & Staff (Purple Permitted Zones)

Faculty and Staff have choices of Orange or Purple Permitted Zones parking. Parking will sell a limited number of parking permits per lot. Once a lot sells out, sales will close for that lot and the Faculty and Staff member will then have to choose either another Orange or Purple Permitted lot for parking. Red zones are controlled by a wait-list to ensure faculty and staff permit holders have a space at all times. Orange and Purple lot permit holders must park in their assigned parking lot. Parking in another lot will result in a citation. Overflow parking will be in Lots 95 and 96.

Parking options vary to accommodate all needs and budgets. Faculty and staff are eligible to use payroll deduction as a pre-tax deduction to pay off the full balance of their parking permit over the course of the academic year.

Faculty & Staff Restricted (Red Restricted Zones)

The Faculty & Staff Restricted lots are strictly controlled. Each Faculty & Staff member authorized in a Red Restricted lot will have a numbered parking space assigned to them. Faculty and staff are eligible to use payroll deduction as a pre-tax deduction to pay off the full balance of their parking permit over the course of the academic year. These zones are controlled by a wait-list to ensure restricted permit holders have a space at all times. Any unauthorized vehicle parked in a controlled Red Parking space, will be towed to lot 95 or off campus.

Contract Employees

Contract Employees are eligible for Faculty/Staff, Commuter and in some cases Restricted Zone parking.

Parking options vary to accommodate all needs and budgets.

Motorcycles

Motorcycles are a great way to navigate campus at PVAMU.

Faculty, staff, and students are eligible for motorcycle permits.

Disability Parking

Anyone parking on campus who has a valid state or county-issued disabled permit or license plate (including disabled veteran license plates) may park in any designated disabled parking space or any other non-restricted parking space, with a valid disabled permit/license plate.
