2012 Queen Coronation

INFORMATIONAL SHEET

The 2012 Homecoming Coronation Ball is Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 7:30 PM in the Opal Johnson Smith Auditorium located in the Willie A. Tempton, Sr. Memorial Student Center.  Please arrive at the Opal Johnson Smith Auditorium no later than 6:15 PM Wednesday.

Homecoming Coronation Ball Rehearsal

The Dress Rehearsal for the Homecoming Coronation Ball is Monday, October 14, 2012 at 6:30 PM in the Memorial Student Center Auditorium.  Please be prompt and prepared to stay approximately two hours.

Dresses:

Queens are to wear full-length, formal gowns, no "Tea" length gowns.  Do not wear purple, champagne, gold, white, or ivory.  Any young lady wearing these colors will be prohibited in participating in the ball.  Please bring your gown Wednesday, October 10, 2012 to Memorial Student Center, RM 221 between the hours of 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM for approval.  Tiaras and/or crowns are prohibited.

Tuxedos:

The Tuxedo fitting will be Monday, October 8, 2012 in the Student Chambers RM 222 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  Please bring a $50.00 deposit to the fitting.  Money Orders and/or Credit Cards are accepted. Money Orders are made payable to SBD designs. No personal check(s) are accepted. For more information, please contact Dean Charles H. Lewter, IV @ (936) 261-3591 concerning tuxedo fittings, the rental cost and tuxedo delivery information. .  The cost of the tuxedos will not exceed $100.00 plus taxes, which includes tuxedo, shirt, tie, cummerbund, and shoes.   

Gift

Traditionally, the participating organizations present Miss Prairie View A&M University and Mr. Prairie View A&M University with a small gift the night of the Homecoming Coronation Ball.

Please remember this is a formal attire affair.  Queens and Kings are required to dress accordingly
