Graduate Studies Grants

(Academic Year 2013- 2014) 

Prairie View A&M University announces opportunities for a limited number of Graduate School Grant Awards (a one-time grant of $5,000) for the fall 2013 semester.   Qualified applicants must be first time admitted student (without any conditions) to graduate program at Prairie View A&M University. Applicants must satisfy the award criteria as established by the Graduate School. Factors to be considered in graduate admission and awards include, but are not limited to the criteria listed below. Students applying for awards are encouraged to visit the graduate school website and complete a copy of the application form entitled “Graduate Studies Grant Application Form (Academic Year 2013-2014)”.

Applicants must be United States citizens and are encouraged to have a FASFA on file for the current academic year (2013 -2014). The Graduate School admissions and Graduates Studies Grant application deadline is July 1, 2013.  Awarding these grants is contingent upon the availability of funds. 

PVAMU Graduate Studies Grant Criteria

The student must:

  • Apply for admissions to the graduate school by July 1, 2013 
  • Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Submit official transcripts
  • Submit official and current GRE or GMAT scores
  • Register for and complete a minimum of 9 semester graduate hours for the fall and spring semester, each.
