The intern will be able to improve organizational skills through arranging, conducting, and evaluating Panther Pride events. He or she will obtain a better understanding of group dynamics by facilitating large and small groups. Through this facilitation, the intern will be able to take these goals and outcomes and use them in his or her daily life (at school through group projects or work through team building). The intern's leadership skills will also be enhanced and used as an application and training mechanism in their education and careers.
Responsibilities include:
Scheduling for Panther Pride
Assisting with supervising and monitoring the assigned group of participants
Responding to psychological, medical, and maintenance emergencies by acting within established emergency protocols
Attend all meetings held with Panther Pride Administration throughout the summer
Assisting student with academic needs
Assisting participants with conflict resolution and assisting with handling student discipline and policy enforcement
Escorting and supervising participants to meals, class, library and workshops
Qualifications
MUST be able to live in University College with residents
Housing is provided
Moving date: July 6, 2013
MUST be available during nights and weekends (no exceptions)
