of the 2010 Fall Semester

Dr. James A. Wilson, Jr. held the first session of the emerging Honors Program in the Executive Conference Room of the John B. Coleman Library Friday, September 3rd, 2010. The 25 students were excited to be part of this initiative. Dr Wilson spoke about the privilege of being part of this first class, the expectations the University has, as well as the many opportunities for study open to them, both at Prairie View and beyond. PVAMU President Dr. George C. Wright was also present to greet the class; he has long sought to recreate the Honors Program at Prairie View. He asked the students to challenge themselves in their coursework and their decisions after graduation.
