Q: How do I get access to SiteBuilder Toolkit (SBT)?
SiteBuilder Toolkit is used to maintain Prairie View A&M University's website. You must attend SBT Training provided by Web Services Department before requesting access. Trainings are conducted monthly but we can also provided an on-demand training session. Please email us at webservices@pvamu.edu to schedule an appointment.
To gain access to SBT, a department head / supervisor has to sign the SBT Access Request Form. The form can be submitted via fax at (936) 261-9342 or by scanning it and sending via email to webservices@pvamu.edu
Q: How long is the SBT Access valid for?
Your access is valid as long as you remain an employee of the department under which you requested your current access. If you change departments, then the new department head has to request a new access setup for you.
Q: I am a student worker, can I get access to SBT?
Yes. Student workers are allowed access to SBT once they attend the SBT Training and their supervisor requests access for them using the SBT Access Request Form.
Student worker access is valid for one semester only and must be renewed on expiration.
Q: Can I access SBT off-campus?
Yes. SBT is accessible over the internet no matter where a person may be. All you need is an internet browser and internet connection.
Q: I cannot see all the pages assigned to me?
Every user is assigned a set number of pages, if you requested a page and it is not displayed in your administrator panel, consider the following :
- The page was deleted by another user
- The page is currently in use by another user and is "locked". Once the page is published by the other user, you will be able to see it in your administrator panel
- You may have edited the page and sent it for approval. If the page is pending approval, look for it under the "Awaiting Approval" Section
