Beginning the Fall 2009 semester, students that have signed up for on campus housing to be paid for by student financial aid awards (loans, scholarships, grants, etc.) will have their current housing charges on their PVAMU Student Bill for tuition, fees, and other charges and in PANTHERTRACKS. The student would have given University Village or University College a copy of their current award letter to verify their financial aid award.
This change will provide the on campus housing student with the amount of housing that is due and that the financial aid the student receives will be reduced to pay for current on campus housing charges. If the student and/or parents/guardians should make a payment directly to University Village or University College, the direct payment will be reflected on the student bill as a “Payment Made to Housing”.
Unpaid housing charges will be taken off the student’s bill toward the end of the semester as “Unpaid Housing – See Housing”. Students will have to work directly with University Village or University College for payments of any past due balances for on campus housing.
Students that have signed up for on campus housing and have agreed to pay for on campus housing directly to University Village or University College will not have their housing charges on their PVAMU Student Bill for tuition, fees, and other charges. No housing charges or housing payments will be reflected on the PVAMU Student Bill or in PANTHERTRACKS.
Past due on campus housing charges will not show up on the students’ bill. All past due on campus housing charges will be paid directly to University Village or University College. If a student has past due housing charges from a previous semester a Housing Hold will be place on the student.
As a reminder, students will be dropped from classes during the PVAMU official drop dates for past due on campus housing charges due to University Village or University College. Drop dates are posted on PANTHERTRACKS and on Current Students-Important Tuition Information at http://www.pvamu.edu/pages/5276.asp
Students can go to PANTHERTRACKS and if a housing hold has been placed on their student account, this indicates a past due balance for on campus housing charges. The student will need to contact University Village or University College regarding the past due balance.
