Program Objectives

CE²I supports the College of Engineering’s mission to provide all of our students with the intellectual stimulation needed to successfully matriculate in an engineering, computer science, and/or technology curriculum. The program has taken a strategic approach to fulfill that mission. Our objectives are to:

• Develop participants' problem-solving skills while providing them with a thorough understanding of the foundational academic principles required for success

• Provide students with an introduction to their selected major through hands-on projects and faculty engagement, so that participants are able to develop a deeper understanding and familiarity with their major and clearer vision of their potential career path.

• Build students' confidence in their academic and leadership abilities.

• Improve math skill what level higher than when the participant began the program.
