I’m pleased to share that Prairie View A&M University will again host its annual Extend the View: Shape Tomorrow Today capital campaign Gala.  The theme for the 2009 Gala will be Celebrating Our Global Impact On Engineering & Technology.

The 2009 Gala will recognize and celebrate leaders and PVAMU graduates who have used their talents, tenacity and resources through Engineering and Technology to ultimately impact society.   During the Gala, the University and its Roy G. Perry College of Engineering seek to host a grand reception featuring technology based presentations that will offer a portion of interaction with Gala attendees.  To this end, we invite you to join us for this unique celebration, which will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

Prairie View A&M University has produced productive people since 1876 and has a proud heritage in producing more minority engineers than any other college or university in the U.S.  For decades, institutions such as NASA, the U.S. Department of Justice, Shell Oil Company and countless others have recruited qualified and highly trained engineers and technological leaders from PVAMU.  Your participation in the 2009 Gala will help PVAMU continue to produce talented scholars and leaders in not just in engineering, technology, but in all areas offered through the University’s nine colleges and schools.
