What is the deadline for paying Fall 2008 tuition and fees?
Friday August 22, 2008 5pm
I am to receive financial aid/scholarship; do I have the same deadline as other students?
Yes the Fall 2008 due dates are the same. However if the student has applied for financial aid and has completed all documents, counseling, etc and the aid will cover 50% of tuition and fees and the Office of Student Financial Aid can verify PVAMU is waiting for aid to be sent, the student will not be dropped. The student can check on PANTHERTRACKS for financial aid document completion. http://panthertracks.pvamu.edu/
If my classes are dropped (cancelled) due to non-payment what should I do?
Students that are dropped the night of August 22, 2008 may re-register during the add periods stated in the Fall 2008 Academic Calendar. A late registration fee will be assessed. 100%(50% if on the installment method) of tuition and fees will be due the day your register. If the student has not paid on the day of the re-registration classes will be dropped again for non-payment.
If the student has completed all documents, counseling, etc and award that will cover 100% (50% if on the installment method) of tuition and fees, the student must contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at 936-261-1000 and talk to their counselor. If the Office of Student Financial can verify PVAMU is waiting for the aid, the counselor will prevent the student from being dropped.

Does the University have a payment plan option to pay tuition and fees?
There is one installment plan approved for the Fall 2008. See website for Requirements http://www.pvamu.edu/pages/3527.asp
What is a short-term loan and how can I apply?
Short Term Loans are for emergency situations where all financial aid/awards resources have been exhausted and the student has no other resources to help pay for tuition and fees. A student is recommended for a short term loan by their Student Financial Aid Counselor. Please go to PANTHERTRACKS and click on Loan Forms and Application for qualifications and application.
Will I receive a tuition and fee statement in the mail?
Tuition and fees bills are mailed prior to the start of the session to the address the student has listed in PANTHERTRACKS. The student may see their bill at anytime in PANTHERTRACKS. A student may review and/or change their mailing address in PANTHERTRACKS.
Why is the deadline to pay my tuition and fee bill the day before school starts?
The Texas Education Codes 54.0007 states “full payment of tuition and fees in advance of the beginning of the semester”. Prairie View A&M University has one installment plan for the Fall 2008 semester where 50% of tuition, fees and charges are due August 22, 2008 by 5pm. There is a $50 fee for the installment plan. See WEB page http://www.pvamu.edu/pages/3527.asp for installment plan requirements.
How do I enroll in the Installment Plan for tuition and fee payments?
All PVAMU students will be automatically enrolled in the installment plan. There is a $50 installment plan fee. The installment plan fee will be reversed for any student that pays or that has aid that has paid 100% of tuition, fees and charges by August 22, 2008 by 5pm.
