The Prairie View A&M University Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp provides the opportunity for 50 promising 5th, 6th and 7th grade students to enhance their proficiency in mathematics and science. The two-week on-campus camp offers innovative programs to enhance students’ knowledge in science, technology, engineering and mathematics while fostering leadership and citizenship.

RAP – Research Apprentice Program |

RAP is a six-week summer enrichment program for high school students entering the junior or senior year. Participants get “hands-on” educational and research experiences in the academic disciplines of food and agricultural sciences with a wealth of lectures, laboratory experiments, workshops and seminars. Candidates must be ranked in the upper one-third of their class and be interested in pursuing a college degree in food and agricultural sciences.

SEEC – Summer Engineering Education Camp |

SEEC is a week-long resident program for male and female middle school students who are interested in the field of Engineering. Students admitted to the program will learn about engineering through hands-on activities, experiments and laboratory tours. Students will work in teams to solve engineering problems and learn how to succeed in College. The mission of SEEC is to introduce students to engineering, strengthen their mathematics skills and motivate them toward success. Students will also experience college life by living in the dormitory for a week, sharing housing with a roommate, interacting with other college students and being part of the collegiate environment.

STI – Summer Transportation Institute |

STI – Summer Transportation Institute STI is a four-week, on-campus learning experience sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration to stimulate the curiosity of promising 11th and 12th grade high school students to explore transportation careers and engage in a wide range of hands-on engineering projects, lab experiences and field trips.
