In the Reference Department, we have collections in the vertical file regarding the street names, past Presidents and Principals of the school, and other clippings. ARTICLES

Digital Dissertations – as of this writing, 21 dissertations mention PV in their abstract.

JSTOR – Short for “Journal Storage,” this database indexes many periodicals all the way back to their first issue. It contains such journals as Callaloo, Journal of Black Studies, African American Review and Transition. It also carries a number of articles on Prairie View; be sure to include the name of the university in quotation marks.

ProQuest – This database had APS and the Historical New York Times. Be sure to look for terms such as “Prairie View Normal” or “Prairie View Agricultural” rather than simply “Prairie View”.
