Information for Employers
Registration
The registration fee for the Career Expo & Job Fair is $500.00 per booth for corporate, $350.00 per booth for government agencies, educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations. Cluster members’ fees are included in your annual dues for one booth. The fee includes one (8x10) booth with a draped table, two chairs, a large header sign bearing the organization's name, continental breakfast, lunch and parking. Oversize booths available for an additional fee $250.00. The fee is good for up to four (4) representatives. Additional representatives will be charged a fee of $25.00 per person.

Student Recognition/Scholarship Banquet
The Annual I. C. Gordon Student Recognition/Scholarship Banquet, scheduled for the evening of Monday, September 15, 2008, will highlight the accomplishments of students who served in co-op, internship, and research and apprenticeship positions during 2007-2008. The banquet is the perfect place for students to network with business, industry, government and not-for-profit agency representatives, and fellow students. Employers are invited to present awards, scholarships, and contributions to the University. We encourage employers to sponsor a table at $300.00 per table or $30.00 per individual ticket. Proceeds from the banquet will be used for scholarship and travel assistance for intern/co-op students.
Networking Social
On Tuesday, September 16, 2008 with the Networking Social at 6:00 p.m. at the Host Hotel, Crowne Plaza Brookhollow. Employers and students will be able to meet and greet.
Shipping Display Units/Materials
Employers may ship display units and materials to Career Service to be pre-positioned in the organization’s assigned booth. Arrangements have been made for “next day” shipping services to designations of choice. Please provide destination-shipping labels prior to career fair close out. You may ship materials to:

Hotel Accommodations
The Crowne Plaza Houston Brookhollow will be the host hotel for the Career Festival. Conveniently located at 12801 Northwest Freeway in Houston, Texas it is easily accessible to the campus and other areas of Houston. A block of rooms has been reserved for the Festival participants at a special discounted rate. You may make your reservations by calling (713) 462-9977. Directions to Prairie View A&M University
From Bush International Airport: Take Sam Houston Toll way West to Highway 290 West. Travel Highway 290 West to Prairie View. Exit Prairie View A&M University (FM 1098). At the light, turn right on to University Blvd. Continue straight just past the flagpoles. Turn at the first immediate left on T. R. Solomon Street. At stop sign, turn right on O. J. Thomas Street. Parking will be available in Lot 6 and on the south side of the William J. Nicks Field House.
From Hobby Airport: Take Interstate 45 (IH-45) through downtown, continue on IH-45 past Interstate 10 (IH-10). Exit Loop 610 West to Highway 290 West. Travel Highway 290 West to Prairie View A&M University. Exit Prairie View A&M University. At the light, turn right on to University Blvd. Continue straight just past the flagpoles.
