PVAMU Biology Department along with several DENTAL Schools including Baylor College of Dentistry Dallas; University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, University of Texas Health Science Center Houston have employed a early acceptance program, that allows pre-dental students to obtain the pre-requisite course at Prairie View A&M University. After successful completion of these courses and competitive DAT scores and GPA requirement the students attend dental school prior to completion of their undergraduate degree at Prairie View A&M University.
PVAMU Biology Department and several pharmacy schools have also agreed to grant qualified biology students early admissions into PHARMACY school upon completion of the pre-requisite courses.
VETERINARYAgreements
PVAMU Biology Department along with the University of Texas Mary Harden Baylor Medical School in Galveston Texas have partnered to form the EMSAP program. The EMSAP (early medical school acceptance program) program is designed to allow minority student of disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to attend medical school. This program is conducted concurrently with the undergraduate studies of the student by allowing them to participate in regular undergraduate studies in the fall and spring semesters and attend summer enrichment programs and MCAT preparation courses to better their chances of medical school acceptance. After completion of the undergraduate degree and if the GPA and test score requirements are meet the EMSAP student can apply to UTMB Galveston and will automatically have a seat in the upcoming class.
