Dr. Felix O. Chima

Felix O. Chima,PhD, MSW, MBA, is currently Director of Social Work Program and Associate Professor at Prairie View A&M University. He was previously an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses. Dr. Chima’s substantive interest areas are Occupational Social Work, Social Policy and Analysis, Organizational Theory, Social Work Administration, Health and Mental Health, Gerontological Research, Generalist Practice, and Children and Families. He has many years of teaching, research, and service experience at the state, national, and international levels.

Dr. Chima has published extensively in a variety of leading professional and academic journals, including the Journal of Intergroup Relations, Journal of Social Work in Disability & Rehabilitation, Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health, Journal of Health & Social Policy, Journal of Emotional Abuse, Journal of Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Journal of Applied Counseling, and many others. He serves on the Editorial Board of several scholarly publications.
