The Department of Engineering Technology offers educational programs and experiences designed to prepare students to meet the challenging demands of industry, society, and the nation as a whole. The department is organized to offer instruction in computer engineering technology, electrical engineering technology, and computer-aided drafting and design.

The goal of the Department of Engineering Technology is to produce technology professionals capable of applying engineering principles and technical skills in engineering/computer design, construction, operation, and industrial production.

The Computer Engineering Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology programs are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Baltimore, MD.
