Cross Country Kicks Off 2009 CampaignTuesday, September 08, 2009 01:32 AM MEET RESULTS The Panthers finished fourth overall while the women captured fifth. On the men’s side, Juan Morales was the top finisher for the Panthers as he finished 18th with a time of 28:57 in the five-mile race. Adrian Davis finished 20th with a time of 29:24 while Matt Jones and Errol Hampton followed with times of 29:25 (22nd) and 29:26 (23rd). In the women’s three-mile race, the Lady Panthers finished fifth with a total of 151 points. The sister tandem of Leticia and Guadalupe Bustamente were the top two finishers for the Lady Panthers. Leticia finished 19th overall with a time of 20:08 while Guadalupe captured 25th after running a time of 20:58. Angel Brooks rounded out Prairie View in the top 30 with a time of 21:16. Both teams return to action this weekend by participating in the Texas A&M Invite in College Station, Texas on Saturday morning. |
