In 2005 the world will be celebrating the World Year of Physics 2005 (WYP2005) under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. This event will celebrate the publication of three legendary articles written by Albert Einstein in 1905, which provided the basis of three fundamental fields in physics: the theory of relativity, quantum theory and the theory of Brownian motion. WYP2005 will provide the opportunity to celebrate the 100 th anniversary of this Miraculous Year while raising the public awareness of physics.
