Physics I Laboratory

This laboratory features activities for the first semester physics course, including measurements, linear and rotational motion, vectors, statics and dynamics.

The laboratory is equipped with Apple computers and PASCO ’s Physics Bundles and DataStudio software. These computers are used to streamline data acquisition and help analyze this data.

The benefits to students include exposure to state-of-the-art equipment and computer programs (comparable to those at major universities across the U.S. ), experience in working in teams, acquisition of critical thinking, and technical report writing and presentation capabilities.

The benefit to the community, the State of Texas and the nation is an enhanced state of preparedness for the workforce.
