If what happened at VT happened here, would you know what to do?
The Staff Advisory Council Ad Hoc Committee will be presenting a forum on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Opal Johnson Smith Auditorium in the Memorial Student Center. The forum is in response to the community's heightened awareness regarding weather related disaster preparedness and human factors associated with incidents such as the recent West Virginia tragedy. In an attempt to provide a wide array of resources SAC has gathered local city, county and state peace officers, county disaster preparation representatives and university department of public safety personnel to serve on the panel.
The format includes a brief seminar followed by an open microphone session to respond to questions and comments from the audience. The general public and Waller County constituents are invited to attend. To get involved in this open forum, contact Augustus Manuel at (936) 261-1390 email aumanuel@pvamu.edu or Annette Bowdre at eabowdre@pvamu.edu.
