KPVU is proud to announce our Fall 2009 Membership Campaign. The theme is “31,000 Watts: Working Day and Night for You at KPVU.” Our world is changing - that's true for you and it's just as true for public radio. We have just completed an increase in signal power and are now broadcasting at an amazing 31,000 watts...at a great expense. This not only improves our sound quality and efficiency, but as I'll soon explain, it allows us to serve you better.

The changes that concern me aren't just about technology. We must work not only to change how we produce radio programs, but what we produce. We must constantly develop the programs you will enjoy in the future. I'm writing to invite you to become part of our future -- to make a special gift to help us design the KPVU of tomorrow. By making a special gift now, you will help us develop new programming and the technology to deliver it.

At KPVU, we continually improve the programs you hear. This means producing new episodes of your favorite series: On the Hill, Latinos on the Hill, and many others.

We also develop new programs. KPVU continually invests in new series you will enjoy in the future. Your special gift now will help us continue that.

When you think about it, nothing is more important than for KPVU to invest in your good listening. If we hadn't done so years ago, you wouldn't hear Tell Me More, Jazz Set with Dee Dee Bridgewater, or Jazz Profiles today.
