Configuring for Automatic Updates - Windows 2000

To configure Windows 2000 for Automatic Updates you will need to do the following:

1. Click the Start = > Settings = > Control Panel.
   
2. Double-click Automatic Updates.
   
3. On the Automatic Updates window, check the box next to Keep my computer up to date.
   
4. Choose a setting. We strongly recommend choosing Download the updates automatically and notify me when they are ready to be installed.
   
5. Apply the changes and click OK.
   
6. After you've set up Automatic Updates, you will see a notification balloon in the lower right portion of the screen (task bar). Click the notification balloon to review and install the downloads.
