RESPONSIBILITIES

As Faculty at PVAMU

  • Director, Summer Transportation Institute, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) sponsored program for high school students, 2006 -Present.
  • Represented Civil Engineering at the College level ABET Committee and was instrumental in the ABET preparation of the department particularly the Assessment of the courses and the program.
  • Program Coordinator, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) sponsored Summer Transportation Institute for high school students, 2000 – 2005.
  • Instrumental in getting the Department name changed from Civil Engineering to Civil and Environmental Engineering effective Fall 2005.
  • Developed a new Environmental Engineering Concentration in the Master of Science in Engineering Program (from Fall 2004).
  • Revised the undergraduate environmental curriculum and developed a Minor in Environmental Engineering at the undergraduate level and developed the curriculum.
  • Directed research as Principal Investigator (or Co-PI) on numerous research and other external grants.
