Eligibility Requirements

To receive financial assistance through the Student Financial Aid Program at Prairie View A&M University, you must:

have a financial need, excluding some loan programs
have a high school or General Education Development (GED) certificate,
be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student working toward a degree or certificate in an eligible program
be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
have a valid Social Security Number
make Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
complete a FAFSA and use funds for educational purposes
certify that you have not defaulted on federal student loans and that you are not required to repay any federal grant funds
register with the selective service, if required
