Parents

Parents of undergraduate dependent students can help finance the students’ education with a low-interest PLUS Loan. If parents are not eligible for a PLUS loan, the student may qualify for additional funds through the Stafford unsubsidized loan program. You can refer to our Preferred Lender’s List to choose a lender and began the PLUS Pre-Approval process.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. Generally, schools must have written permission from the parent or eligible student in order to release any information from a student's education record. A student may complete an Authorization Form, to give our office permission to discuss their confidential information with parents or legal guardians. Students also have the option of editing their Authorization Form.
