Jamie Jackson was selected Miss Prairie View A&M University 2007-2008 on Wednesday, April 18, 2007. The twenty-one year-old is a native of Houston Texas. She is majoring in Mass Communications with a minor in Sociology. Miss Jackson is a member of Sigma Tau Theta (Communications fraternity), Lambda Pi Eta National Communications Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). Jamie previously participated in the “University College” & Phi Beta Sigma’s “Lady of the Dove” Scholarship pageants.
Her platform “R.E.A.L.I.T.Y Awareness directing our attention to the issues that directly affect us” promotes awareness of statistics, encouragement to make changes and take action for the betterment of our communities. This platform is inclusive of religion, economics, academics, stereotypes, tradition and more that influence society.
James Jackson and Jacqueline Jackson are her parents. Miss Jackson’s siblings are Stephone Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson, DeAndre Lewis, DeAvry Lewis, and Armani Lewis.
