Correcting Your FAFSA Using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool

To make corrections to your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool:

1. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov
2. Click "Start Here"
3. Enter student information
4. For 2012-2013, Click "Make FAFSA Corrections"
5. Enter PIN
6. Proceed to "Financial Information" section
7. Indicate that you have "Already completed" taxes
8. Use IRS Data Retrieval Tool when prompted
9. Save, electronically sign, and submit FAFSA

FAFSA corrections usually take 3-5 business days to process.
