Job Announcements
The Student Employment Office is currently accepting Job Announcements for the 2013 Summer & Fall semesters. The Student Employment Office will begin posting Job Announcements immediately.
Supervisors must advertise all semester student employment positions on the Student Employment website. The position is posted on the SEO website for ten (10) business days from the posting date. The minimal number of days a job posting can be posted on the SEO website is five (5) business days, with written justification. A Job Description Form must be completed and submitted to the SEO via fax (936-261-1734) or email at seo@pvamu.edu in order to advertise a semester student position. Job Description Form.
For students anticipating a work start date of June 1, 2013, the SEO must receive both the EWR and the completed hiring packet by 5pm on May 24, 2013.
New Hire and Rehire student workers may be employed to work for the Summer semesters from June 1, through August 16, 2013. Students are not permitted to begin working until the Employee Wage Request (EWR) has been approved and completed the routing process through the Budget Office. Departments allowing students to begin working prior to SEO and Budget Office approvals will receive a violation letter.
Monitoring Student Earnings
Work study students are not allowed to exceed their allocated funds for the semester. If the work study student is employed during the summer terms, the earnings will be distributed from his/her summer semester work study award. See procedure

The last day to work for Spring 2013 is Friday, May 10, 2013.
