The Prairie View A&M University ATCP offers certification in:

• Secondary Content Areas, grades 8-12
• Special Education EC-12

Areas of Specialization

The following Secondary Content area certification fields require applicants to have at least 24 semester hours (12 hours must be upper division course work.):

Art (All Levels) Bilingual Generalist Chemistry 8-12 Computer Science English Language Arts and Reading 6-12 French German Health EC-12 Health Science Technology Education 8-12 History Journalism Life Science 8-12

Mathematics Music EC-12 Physical Education EC-12 Physical Science 8-12 Science 8-12 Social Studies 8-12 Spanish Special Education EC-12 Speech 8-12 Technology Applications EC-12 Technology Education 6-12 Theater EC-12

Applicants are required to have at least 24 semester hours, six (6) in each of the following areas:

English Mathematics

Social Studies Science
