Intramurals Game Rules Basketball 3: Participation Rules

Team Regulations

1. Five players will constitute a team. Teams may have no more than 12 players on their roster.
2. Five players are required to avoid a forfeit.
3. Additions to the roster may be made throughout league play, however, a player may not play for more than one team in the same division (i.e., mens' open, womens', co-recreational). New players must be added to the roster prior to playing. Rosters will be closed once a team is first scheduled tournament game has finished.
   

Equipment and Jerseys/Clothing

1. A game ball will be provided, however, teams are to furnish their own practice balls and will NOT be allowed to use the game ball during warm-ups or half-time.
2. Players are strongly recommended that a mouth piece be worn.
3. The Intramural Office will provide jerseys for team identification; however, T-shirts with sleeves must be worn under the jerseys.
4. In order for teams to receive jerseys, the manager must present I.D. to the score keeper prior to each game. When all jerseys are returned, the manager will receive their I.D. back.
5. Players must wear shorts or sweats without pockets or belt loops.
6. Teams are encouraged to supply their own uniform with numbers.
