2.    Function

       The Faculty Senate of Prairie View A&M University is an elected body of faculty members and
       research scientists. As an advising and recommending body, the Faculty Senate reports to the
       President. The Faculty Senate is the faculty's body for University-wide participation in the governance
       of the institution.

3.    Constitution and By-Laws

       The Faculty Senate functions in accordance with its constitution (Attachment 1) and by-laws (Attachment 2).
