60.11 Position Titles and Title Codes Issued: May 10, 2000
1. Purpose
The purpose of this procedure is to provide a listing of the approved University titles and title codes, as required by System Policy 2.05. Should a department desire to use a title other than those contained in their operating budget, they must initiate the establishment of the proposed title through the procedure for establishing new positions (See Administrative Procedure 60.08).
2. Classified Titles
The Classified Titles include those positions which are non-professional, support staff positions and
which are non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (See System Regulation 31.01.02). The
approved listing of Classified Titles is provided at Attachment 1.
3. Non-Classified Titles
The Non-Classified Titles include those positions which are professional faculty and staff positions and which are exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (See System Regulation 31.01.02). The approved listing of Non-Classified Titles is provided at Attachment 2, Attachment 3
