A team from PVAMU has been invited to compete in the 2013 Honda Campus All-Star Challenge National Championship Tournament.
Led by team coach Herbert Thomas, the team will travel to Los Angeles April 6-10 to compete against HBCUs from across the country. PVAMU has competed in the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge for the last 20 years, winning the tournament in 2010.
Each year more than 250 HBCU college students participate in the two-day competition, which showcases their knowledge in the areas of world history, science, literature, religion, the arts, social science and popular culture.
Throughout the competition period, the initial field of 64 teams is pared down to 16 teams, which then participate in a single-elimination playoff round until only the final four teams remain.
