
PVAMU alumnus Kimberly Andrews has been named the director of Talent Search and Upward Bound at Virginia Tech University.
Andrews will lead the University’s efforts in encouraging potential first-generation college students to attend college after high school. The program serves approximately 800 students per year. She assumed the post on June 1.
Prior to accepting the post at Virginia Tech, Andrews served as the assistant director and program coordinator of the UT Outreach-Houston program at the University of Texas at Austin.
Andrews received her bachelor’s degree from PVAMU, and went on earn her master of management degree in public administration from the University of Phoenix. She enrolled in the Ph.D. program in leadership studies at Our Lady of the Lake University.
