Incoming Freshmen Students

For the purpose of New Student Orientation, Freshmen are classified as admitted students entering the university with no more than 15 transferable semester credit hours.

Which semester will you enter?

Spring

Summer or Fall

The spring semester begins in January.

Spring Orientation

The summer semester begins in June and July.

The fall semester begins in August.

Student Testing Responsibilities

The THEA Test must be taken prior to students receiving academic advisement and class registration. Students who are exempt from taking the test must have proof of an exemption on file with Prairie View A&M University.
