MSN– Family Nurse Practitioner The nurse practitioner program is built upon the concept of providing primary health care services across the client’s life span. The curriculum is designed to teach advanced nurse practitioner students to foster independent and/or collaborative practice for families, individuals, and groups within the context of the community. Students follow clients across their lifespan utilizing clinical research findings, health system management skills, and professionalism within a caring environment. Consumer advocacy and client decisionmaking regarding health priorities are also key concepts within the curriculum.
